First Baptist Church of Los Angeles

Bible Study

There are a number of ways in which we study the Bible at First Baptist. As Baptists we believe that the Bible is the divinely inspired word of God that serves as the final written authority for living out the Christian faith. Because of this, we have many events and programs that focus on studying and applying the scriptures to our lives today. Additionally, the church is culturally and generationally diverse providing a variety of opportunities for both fellowship and learning.

If you are interested in joining anyone of these groups, please come and visit anytime. You are welcome no matter your culture, background or where you are in your own spiritual development. We would love to help you find a community to plug into. If you would like more information, please contact us.

Sundays at 11:00 am

The main worship service for First Baptist is Sunday mornings at 11:00 am, following the Sunday school hour. All of the diverse morning classes meet together at this time for a period of communal worship. Service is held in English, but there are headsets available with live audio translation in Spanish and Korean. The service is centered on the study and application of a particular passage of the Bible in Christian life.

Small Groups

Small groups of people from First Baptist come together on a weekly basis for fellowship and Bible study. Please contact the church if you are interested in joining one of these small groups, called Caring and Nurturing Communities (CNCs).

  • Middle and High School Youth - They meet at 7:00 pm to have fun and learn.
